You will be registering with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) through the National Futures Association (NFA) at www.nfa.futures.org. On the NFA homepage, click on "Registration" at the top left corner, then click on Commodity Pool Operator (CPO). On this registration page, you will see the full list of registration requirements. The process requires completing Form 7-R, application fees, and NFA membership dues. For Principals and Association Persons (APs) of the CPO, Form 8-R, fingerprinting, proficiency exams, and application fees are required.
