You will be registering with the Commodity Futures trading Commission (CFTC) through the National Futures Association (NFA). On the NFA homepage, click on "Registration" at the top left corner, then click on Commodity Trading Advisor (CTA). On this registration page, you will see the full list of registration requirements. The process requires completing Form 7-R, application fees, and possible NFA membership dues. All Principals and Associated Persons (APs) of a CTA are required to complete Form 8-R, submit fingerprints, take a proficiency exam, and pay application fees.
