What is ARIF?

ARIF (Association Romande des Intermédiaires Financiers) is a French acronym that translates to "French Association of Financial Intermediaries". The Association  was created on March 15, 1999 in Geneva and is a not-for-profit private rights association dedicated to the prevention and the fight against laundering. It is a self-regulated organization, the only multi-disciplinary SRO in French-Switzerland, and independent of all other professional associations or political formations. With almost 490 members, it is open to all financial intermediaries (non-banking) who exercise their activity in Switzerland.

ARIF regulates some forex market makers based in Switzerland, such as Crown Forex SA, MIG Investments SA, and Dukascopy (Suisse) SA. (Source: www.forexcodex.com/arif)
